Job Description

This Interim CFO role in London offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a respected organisation within the charity sector. The position requires a strategic financial leader to oversee the finance and fundraising team.

  • Lead and manage the organisation's finance and fundraising teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior leadership.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Provide assurance to the team by bringing different strands of the business together (endowments, fundraising and finance)
  • Encourage the team with ensuring system updates continue

A successful Interim CFO should have:
  • A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven experience in financial leadership, ideally within the charity sector or within investment banking
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent skills in financial planning, analysis, and problem-solving.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive approach to improving financial processes and systems.
  • Experience in managing teams and mentoring finance professionals.
