Providing professional leadership for Nurses and AHPs within the Trust, setting standards and ensuring the delivery of compassionate, caring and effective patient and family centred services. Service improvement and operational delivery of safe services, ensuring patients receive accessible, timely care. Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults ensuring systems, policies and processes are in place to support the national and local agenda around safeguarding. Director Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC) Leading on contracting in relation to quality, overseeing achievement of standards and CQUINS.



Leading the corporate nursing agenda, ensuring Board assurance of the quality of care, including metrics to enable Ward to Board reporting with real time patient information to support clinicians in decision making. Providing strategic leadership and direction to Board Assurance, Risk Management, Governance and Health Care Regulation within the Trust, taking responsibility for quality standards, patient experience and litigation, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, learning and sharing. Acting as Deputy Caldicott Guardian, supporting the Information Governance agenda. Leading the patient experience and public engagement agenda and delivering improvement because of patient feedback, including national patient surveys and friends and family test.



Ensure delivery of excellence in PLACE assessments. Championing the transformation agenda using improvement methodologies and principles to enhance delivery of quality and efficiency. Ensuring that the organisation is, from a clinical governance perspective, viewed as Safe, Caring, Effective, Responsive, and well-led, by patients, partners, stakeholders, and regulators. Stakeholder engagement, ICS, NHSE and CQC.



Accountable Officer for controlled drugs. All Directors are expected to work as part of a cohesive Executive team and, when necessary, take lead responsibility for corporate duties outside of their immediate sphere of accountability, and participate in the Director on-call arrangement.
