Job Description
Are you a qualified financial guru with a passion for public service? Do you have a knack for crunching numbers and ensuring fiscal responsibility?
Cedar is currently partnered with a London based government council to secure an Interim Finance Manager on a 12 month basis paying between \xc2\xa3350-\xc2\xa3450 per day inside IR35 with hybrid working available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee budget management and financial planning to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Provide expert advice on financial matters to senior management and council members.
- Develop and implement robust financial controls and risk management strategies.
- Lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise financial performance and drive strategic decision-making.
- Recognised accounting or finance qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager, preferably in a public sector or government organisation.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and local government finance practices.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Exceptional leadership abilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
