Are you an experienced accountant seeking a challenging opportunity to contribute your expertise to the public sector? Look no further!

Cedar are currently seeking a highly skilled Interim Accountant for a 6-month period with in-depth knowledge of the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) to join an esteemed local authority team.

This role is paying between \xc2\xa3350 - \xc2\xa3450 a day inside IR35 with hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilise your expertise in HRA accounting to ensure accurate financial management and reporting related to housing revenue.
• Analyse and interpret financial data to provide valuable insights and recommendations for decision-making within the local authority.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with HRA regulations and best practices.
• Prepare and present financial reports, including budget forecasts and analysis, to senior management and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and support to staff members regarding HRA accounting principles, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

• Qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience working with the Housing Revenue Account, ideally within a local authority or similar public sector organization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Detail-oriented approach, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
