NXTMove are pleased to be recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller to oversee our client's day-to-day financial operations to cover a period of maternity (15 months) on a hybrid basis in their Cookstown facility. The successful candidate for the Interim Financial Controller role will be responsible for managing financial planning, reporting, and compliance, ensuring the organisation's financial health and integrity and this is an ideal opportunity for any aspiring FC to add a senior post to their CV with one of the country's top employers.

This role requires a strong background in financial management, proficiency with ERP accounting software, and the ability to lead financial strategies effectively. The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in supporting organisational growth and stability through accurate financial analysis and reporting, reporting to the Finance Director. NB - preference will be given to candidate's with a reduced notice period, given the desire for a generous handover with the current postholder prior to their maternity.

Responsibilities



Oversee all aspects of financial financial operations, including monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and year-end financial reporting. Manage a small team of staff (5) responsible for delivery of accounts payable processes and ensure timely payments. Utilise accounting software (Navision) to maintain accurate financial records in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with organisational standards. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies. Lead audits and liaise with external auditors as required. Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Supervise finance team members

Experience



Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role within a dynamic organisation. Extensive knowledge of financial management principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software such as MN Navision, SAP, or comparable programmes is essential. Demonstrated ability to oversee month end close to tight reporting deadlines. Experience leading audits and ensuring regulatory compliance is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
