Internationally nominated IIP GOLD Employer of the Year, is looking for an Interim Financial Controller to bring focus, precision, and strong leadership to our Finance team on a fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

Our perfect match will possess the following essential attributes:
Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
Proven experience in a similar role.
Excellent analytical and leadership skills.
Familiarity of working with an ERP system, i.e. Xledger.
Keen to develop knowledge of self and others.

The main duties of the role will include:
Lead the Finance Team in alignment with Ribby Hall Village's Vision and Values.
Support the forecasting of business performance with the Director of Finance & IT.
Assist in the integration of financial systems and processes.
Support year-end planning, coordination, and audit preparation.
Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations and best practices.
Take ownership of monthly Management Accounts, including P&L.
Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and internal controls.
Drive automation and efficiency in the Xledger finance system.
Oversee preparation and review of balance sheet and system reconciliations.
Maintain accountability for Finance department P&L, budgets, and financial performance.
Identify and deliver opportunities to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness in Finance systems.
Act as a financial liaison with operational teams, providing advice and challenge where appropriate.
Ensure policies, processes, and procedures meet or exceed relevant business standards.
Availability:
We have one fixed term, full time position offering 40 hours over 5 days in a department that operates Monday to Friday.
Flexibility to work throughout the year including bank holidays is essential to meet the commercial needs of the business.
Salary:
Starting from 50,000 per annum-based on qualifications and experience.
