Interim

Head of Payroll

to join their finance team.

Initially, this will be a

3 to 6 month contract role

, with the possibility of extension or being made permanent. In order to be considered for this role, you will need to be

immediately available or on very short notice

.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of payroll operations across the UK and Ireland. This key position is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all payroll-related activities, while also championing ongoing improvements within the function.

About you

To thrive in this role, you will bring substantial experience in a senior payroll capacity, with a sound grasp of payroll processes and fundamental accounting principles. You'll be exceptionally organised, detail-focused, and possess strong communication skills, alongside advanced proficiency in Excel. A solid understanding of TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings [Protection of Employment]) regulations is essential, as is thorough knowledge of tax, pensions, and employment legislation in both the UK and Ireland. Ideally, you will hold a CIPP qualification or an equivalent credential.
