Job Description

W&A is supporting a well-established organisation in Edinburgh to appoint an Interim Insurance Manager, who will provide continuity and leadership during a period of absence.
This 6-month contract, based in Edinburgh with hybrid working (around three days on-site), and offers the chance to make an immediate and meaningful impact.
The Opportunity
You'll oversee day-to-day insurance operations, manage claims, support colleagues across the organisation and guide one direct report. The role also involves contributing to annual insurance renewals, supporting improvements to processes and controls, and ensuring a steady hand while the permanent postholder is away.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain continuity across the insurance function
  • Manage insurance claims and provide clear guidance to stakeholders
  • Support and develop an Insurance Assistant
  • Assist with annual renewals and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Address outstanding control actions and support good risk management
  • Provide advice on insurance matters
  • Work closely with Finance and other stakeholders across the organisation
What You'll Bring
  • Strong experience in insurance management
  • Confidence handling claims and working with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a large, multi-area organisation
