We are seeking a People Coordinator to join our People Team. You will work with passionate HR professionals to help drive the People Function and implement people processes and plans to support Somerset House's talented teams. You will provide an advisory service to our employees and senior stakeholders. Working closely with the People Director and People Manager, you will have a desire to advance your career across the People function of the Trust, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Please note that this is an interim role for 3-6 months.

Main focus of the People Coordinator:



ADMINISTRATION

Preparing and sending out paperwork - salary changes on/ off boarding; We use Microsoft Forms and Power Automate Ensure that employee records are up-to-date and accurate by reviewing and maintaining our people management system; People HR Proficiency with HR data to analyse and prepare reports showing employee trends

PEOPLE

Scheduling and supporting the delivery of staff induction. Become an expert user of our online recruitment system, sharing your knowledge with recruiting managers, obtaining references and right-to-work checks Offer support through knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice to discuss with the People Team

TEAM

A confident team player with a sense of what is right and the ability to challenge and push back where needed Support the delivery of the People Team's objectives.


Skills, knowledge & expertise required for the role of People Coordinator::





EXPERIENCE

:A passion and proactive approach to diversity and inclusion in the workplace Solid administrative experience, ideally with People/HR experience You will ideally have some generalist HR / People experience Awareness of key aspects of employment law, with the desire to learn and develop knowledge

SKILLS

:Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders Flexibility and adaptability to change Strong numeracy and IT skills, including working knowledge of MS Office applications and spreadsheets and the ability to learn new systems and software quickly
