Interim Year End/stat Accountant

Job Description
Our client, a leading leisure group, are looking for a qualified professional, well versed in UK GAAP and FRS 102 to support the group office in delivering the group statutory accounts including preparing, examining, and analysing financial reports, statements and records whilst ensuring full compliance with UK GAAP. The role requires the production of statutory accounts for a multitude of legal entities including several group consolidations.
The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing group and entity level statutory and consolidated accounts of onshore and offshore accounts in accordance with UK GAAP (55 entities and 5 consolidations)
- Producing annual stat accounts including review of balance sheet entries to GL to ensure that accounts are in full compliance and remedy any issues.
- Ensure financial statements are in full compliance with FRS 102
- Business partnering across all divisions as appropriate to provide technical statutory accounting input.
- Support the year end audit of group financial statements including the preparation of audit packs and schedules.
- Managing the audit relationship and resolving queries
- Qualified - Ideally CA(SA), CA ANZ, ACA or ACCA
- Strong audit and stat accounting background
- UK GAAP essential
- FRS 102 - Beneficial but not essential
