Interior Designer/Decorator

to join our creative and construction team in shaping interior environments that reflect both function and style.

Role Overview



The Interior Designer/Decorator will be responsible for planning and executing the visual and functional aspects of our construction projects' interior spaces. This includes concept design, material selection, colour coordination, and decorative finishes that meet client expectations and align with the overall project vision. You'll collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and site teams to deliver impactful interior environments.

Key Responsibilities



Develop design concepts and detailed plans for interior finishes

Select materials, furnishings, colour schemes, and surface treatments

Prepare mood boards, CAD drawings, and visual presentations

Oversee and coordinate on-site installation of finishes and decorative features

Work with suppliers and subcontractors to source materials and decor items

Ensure interior designs comply with health & safety, accessibility, and building regulations

Provide decorative finishing services such as painting, wallpapering, and feature detailing (if hands-on component applies)

Liaise with clients and internal teams to deliver customised interior solutions on time and within budget

Essential Skills & Qualifications



1 year experience in interior design and/or decorating in residential or commercial construction

Proficient in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (for design-led roles)

Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and trends

Attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics, colour, and proportion

Excellent communication and project coordination skills

Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

CSCS card desirable for site access

Strong understanding of health & safety, building codes, and sustainability considerations

Desirable Attributes



Experience working in construction, architecture, or property development environments

Hands-on skills in decorative painting, wallpapering, and surface treatments

Portfolio demonstrating design concepts through to completed spaces

Familiarity with BIM or other digital construction tools

Understanding of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001)

Pay: 36,000.00-42,000.00 per year
