We are now on the lookout for a dynamic Interior Designer with sales experience to take overall charge of our in-house interior design efforts in our new South Manchester based showroom, helping us to elevate our offerings and client base.
Overview
As Lead Interior Designer you will play a vital role in the creative success of our projects. You will be responsible for envisioning, developing, and delivering compelling design and solutions tailored to the needs and lifestyles of our clients. In addition, you will also guide all project phases from concept through to completion, ensuring each design meets the aesthetic goals while upholding the quality and reputation of the company.
This role would suit somebody with a creative flair who also possesses technical knowledge alongside leadership and project management skills. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients during the design process, liaising with homeowners, architects, and developers to transform their visions into reality. You will also play a vital role in maintaining strong and personable client relations and generating repeat business through exceptional customer service and innovative designs.
Duties:
Develop and showcase design concepts for kitchens, living spaces, and interior environments from initial consultation through to final installation.
Lead client meetings to determine project requirements, personal style, and any functional goals and objectives.
Advise clients on trends, materials, fittings and finishings whilst providing expert guidance tailored to each project.
Prepare and present detailed floor plans, elevations, mood boards, and 3D visualizations using CAD & design software.
Oversee full project life cycle, from initial concept through to procurement, scheduling, and final
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure designs are practically viable and executed to high standards.
Manage project budgets, ensure effective sourcing and procurement of materials and furnishings, and track project costs to avoid overruns.
Conduct site visits and progress inspections to ensure fidelity to design intent and timely problem-solving.
Ensure all work adheres to relevant regulations, codes, and sustainability standards.
Keep abreast of industry developments and innovations, integrating new ideas and practices that enhance the company's market presence and client
Build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on service excellence and encouraging repeat and referral business.
Skills & Experience;
Proven experience (4+ years) in interior design/kitchen/architecture, with a focus on kitchens and residential or commercial interiors.
Strong portfolio demonstrating creative designs and successful project
Notable track record of generating sales through compelling design and driving business growth.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or similar.
Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes and fixtures relevant to kitchens and residential interiors
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and mentoring.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate client needs into actionable and visual designs.
Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.
Project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and procurement.
Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, suppliers, and other participants.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Up-to-date knowledge of design trends and emerging technologies.
Full UK Driving License and any additional skills may be advantageous.

Starting at 40,000+ (Dependent on experience)
