The DDS Group has been established for over 45 years in the Construction Market and has a reputation for integrity and high standards. We specialise in carrying out Demolition, Groundworks and Civil Engineering Projects.

As a result of continued expansion of the Group, DDS are looking to recruit an Intermediate Estimator.

The successful candidate will work directly under the existing Managing Estimator and will be given one-to-one mentoring to develop their skills. This is a very rare and unique opportunity, that would be well suited to an ambitious individual who has an appetite for new skills and self-development.

The ideal candidate will already have some experience of construction and how the tender process works. They will be a dynamic and focussed individual, with the ability to organise and think for themselves.

The typical duties they will undertake shall include:

Reviewing tender documentation.

Preparing and issuing sub-contract and supplier enquiries.

Sub-contract and supplier quotation analysis and comparison.

Building up rates using "first principles".

Updating and maintenance of current pricing library.

Taking-off from drawings to produce bills of quantity which have been measured to recognised methods.

The salary will be dependent on experience, but competitive. Candidates are encouraged to put their salary expectations on their CV's.

Due to ongoing training the individual will require, this opportunity would not be suitable for someone looking to work-from-home or hybrid office/home arrangement. This is a full-time, office-based position.
