Intern Construction Manager - 2026 Summer Placement - London

Over your summer placement, you'll gain hands-on experience and have the support of mentors who care about your growth. You'll develop the technical and interpersonal skills to help you succeed and make a lasting impact.
We are looking for a Construction Management student to become part of our Building team on our 7 Millbank project (known as The Smith).
What you'll do:
Supporting in the daily control, management, and coordination of site activities
Support the supervision of trade-contractors as well as the labour and material requirements for the contract
Assist in ensuring our operatives are working to the latest programme of works, are signed up to the relevant method statements and check they understand what is required
Be involved in quality and compliance
Help to log and resolve any defects found and challenge current methodology by putting forward innovative ideas
Contributing to site progress meetings
Building positive working relationships with sub-contractors
Solving issues on site and monitoring risks
Ensuring health & safety is adhered to, including site inspections, and conducting site inductions.
Ensuring that all relevant paperwork is received, reviewed and communicated where necessary
What you'll bring to the role:
Studying towards a construction related subject that is accredited by the CIOB
Values driven and passionate about sustainability
Enthusiastic to learn in a site-based environment
Have excellent communications skills and attention to detail
Commercially minded
