About the role:




Join Sage Homes as an Internal Auditor and help shape the future of our internal audit and risk function.



We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to support the delivery of our internal audit plan. Reporting to the Senior Audit Manager, you'll play a key role in identifying risks, evaluating controls, and recommending practical solutions that strengthen our operations.



This role is based in our Central London office with hybrid working arrangements of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, if required.


Key Responsibilities:




Lead scoping meetings and draft audit terms of reference Conduct audits and ad-hoc reviews across various business areas Identify key risks and controls through stakeholder engagement Design and perform control testing to assess effectiveness Deliver clear, insightful audit reports with actionable recommendations Collaborate with senior stakeholders to agree on remediation plans Support compliance audits, process reviews, and investigations Contribute to the ongoing development of our audit methodology

About you



Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to build effective relationships across departments Commercial awareness and understanding of audit impact Proven experience delivering audits from planning to reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Experience with audit software or data analysis tools (e.g. IDEA) is desirable GCSE Maths and English (Grade 5 or above) or equivalent Chartered IIA status or relevant higher education (e.g. accounting degree) is desirable but not essential
