Internal Auditor

Job Description

Internal Audit department has a core responsibility as the third line of defence (3LoD) to bring a systematic approach to evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness and sustainability of risk management and internal controls systems. As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible to undertake audits, investigations and reviews in accordance with the established methodology under the guidance of the Team Lead. This is a full time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities



Support the Team Lead in performing audit assignments in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, quality standards and regulatory requirements. This will include a variety of tasks across the planning, fieldwork and reporting phases of an audit. Audit work may include supporting investigations, special reviews and ad-hoc tasks Participate in the ongoing assessment of the control environment through continuous monitoring and assist in conducting risk assessments and contributing to the annual audit plan Complete audit work papers timely in accordance with the department's standards and assist the Team Lead in finalising the audit report Validating closure of management action plans Assisting the department in carrying out any other relevant work

Requirements



Degree educated ideally in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics Professional qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA) is preferred Experience of working in Internal Audit or assurance reviews in the Financial Services industry, ideally in Banking Proven abilities in taking responsibility for executing high quality deliverables according to defined timelines Knowledge of Retail and Corporate Banking products and services, and associated risks and controls Good organisational skills and the ability to work proactively Excellent communication skills A team player who is able to build relationships with stakeholders Data analytics skills would be an advantage
