: Internal Bookkeeper & VAT Specialist

Location: Bath, UK (onsite)

Salary: 30,000-35,000?per annum + benefits

Work Schedule: 10-6pm Monday-Friday

About Us:

Miaris Group is a dynamic hospitality operator with 10 venues across the South West. We're seeking a meticulous Internal Bookkeeper & VAT Specialist to join our Head Office and own all day?to?day bookkeeping and VAT compliance in?house.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly Bookkeeping:*

Post sales, purchases, expenses for 10 legal entities
Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and supplier accounts
VAT Management:*

Prepare digital VAT bundles by the 5th each month
Submit quarterly VAT returns on time and handle HMRC queries
Process Improvement:*

Own and refine bookkeeping workflows and internal controls
Liaise with external accountants and auditors
You're a Great Fit If You...

Hold an AAT?Level?3 or equivalent bookkeeping qualification
Proven experience submitting UK VAT returns
Have 2+ years' hands?on experience in a multi?entity bookkeeping role
Are highly organised, deadline?driven, and detail?obsessed
Can work independently, handle multiple deadlines, and thrive in a fast?paced environment
Possess excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers, venues, and finance partners
