Purpose and Function of Post
The postholder will be the lead on Internal Communications within the
Marketing and Communications service. As part of the Marketing and Communications team, the post holder will be responsible for publishing and communicating offline and online with staff. The postholder will work closely with Organisational Development, Strategy and Performance as well as HR to promote employee engagement across the Council.
The Council may retain a list of reserve candidates arising from this recruitment campaign, for any vacancies which may arise which are the same or similar and are of an equal grade of pay. This list will be valid for 12 months. "Another similar vacancy" is defined as a post with a similar job description and person specification and on the same salary scale, which may be in a different department or duration to the vacancy initially advertised. Another similar vacancy does not include posts where the similarity relates solely to the salary scale.

Therefore, the post-holder will be required to be flexible, adaptable and aware that they may be asked to perform tasks, duties and responsibilities which are not specifically detailed in the job description, but which are commensurate with the role.
