ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Internal Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day internal operations across the business, ensuring we're delivering a high-quality, compliant, and efficient service at scale. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and crucial to our ability to meet internal performance targets and external service expectations.
You'll work closely with the Head of Operations and departmental leaders to ensure our systems, people, and processes remain fit for rapid growth.
ABOUT YOU:
Lead and optimise internal operations across claims, admin, telephony, and support functions
Own key KPIs including claim throughput, cycle times, telephony performance, and quality metrics
Manage and improve workflow tools and case management systems
Oversee team resourcing, rota management, and productivity tracking
Collaborate with department leads to embed continuous improvement and consistently meet SLAs
Work with Compliance and Legal to ensure adherence to regulatory and FCA standards
Support MI reporting, performance reviews, and operational analysis
Promote a performance-led culture with clear accountability and structured feedback
Troubleshoot service issues and lead structured problem-solving sessions
Help onboard new tech, suppliers, and processes to increase resilience and scalability
Stakeholder Management and Experience Reporting operational performance
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience in operations management within a motor claims, insurance, or legal services setting (essential)
Strong understanding of FCA regulations and operational compliance frameworks
Experience managing medium-to-large teams (70+ FTE) in a process-driven environment
Demonstrable ability to manage change, improve systems, and implement process improvements
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Strong data literacy - confident using MI dashboards and interpreting operational performance
Calm under pressure and thrives in fast-paced, high-growth settings
