OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB



The role of the Internal Sales Administrator is to provide efficient and customer-focused support within the internal sales function, ensuring accuracy in administration, high levels of customer service, and compliance with company policies, Health & Safety, and Quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



The role will require the candidate to:

Carry out day-to-day internal sales administration. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Ensure all administration, including invoicing, crediting, filing, scanning, and general office tasks, is accurate and up to date. Support the sales team with quotations, pricing enquiries, and customer analysis. Maintain price lists and catalogues as required. Liaise with procurement, transport, and warehouse teams to support the smooth delivery of customer orders. Ensure cash sale accounts are processed and balanced in line with company policy. Assist in monitoring and achieving internal sales targets. Carry out Health & Safety considerations relevant to the role. Support the Belfast Trade Counter function where required.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS



Proven track record in customer service and/or sales administration, preferably within the construction product supply industry. Experience in a busy customer service or sales office environment. Knowledge of good customer service and administration practices. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships. Strong organisation and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering results and learning new skills. Demonstrated customer focus and commitment to providing a high-quality service.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS



All duties and tasks are undertaken and performed in an efficient, accurate manner, resulting in excellent service provision:

Accuracy of sales order input. Timely completion of cash sale processes. Quotations and project files maintained and accurate. Customer service levels consistently high. Customer analysis and engagement completed as required. Administrative tasks carried out promptly and accurately.
