About the Role

As an Internal Sales Consultant, through a consultative sales approach, you will question to unlock all the customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs and be able to match them to OUP\xe2\x80\x99s products and services and will be responsible for adoptions and delivery of sales revenues of OUP\xe2\x80\x99s school products and service, retention of digital services and closing sales to achieve project target. You will also work with your Field Based counterparts by passing on sales appointments where appropriate.

Duties include:

  • Be able to strategically plan identification of the best customer group and how you target these.
  • Regular interactions via Teams at School and Trust executive level. This will be a mixture of consultative questioning to expose all business opportunities and sales presentations. Working with our external business partners to maximize adoptions. Being able to provide the customer with solutions to meet their needs.
  • Create opportunities quotes for individual schools and Trusts based on their specific needs.
  • Acquisition of adoption targets and sales revenues
  • Furnish publishing and marketing teams with relevant customer and competitor market feedback
  • Ensure year on year retention of our digital portfolio to sustain our drive to be a digital first provider
  • Perform a variety of admin tasks to a high standard to ensure a continuous flow of communication and continuity of service.
  • Work with other teams to ensure we are maximizing our business potential.
This role is a home based and term time only for a period of 6 months.

About You

Essential:
  • Experience of selling print and digital products and services
  • Experience of selling to educational establishments
  • Proven track record in sales or educational teaching experience
  • Consultative sales skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability deliver sales presentations to a wide variety of audiences.
Desirable:
  • Experience of UK Education Market
  • Experience of selling to UK schools
