The company provides nails, woodscrews, bolts & nuts, fixings & fastenings, fencing, sealants, ironmongery and building products to trade customers such as builders merchants, fencing suppliers, roofing merchants and DIY outlets.

We are seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our External Sales Team who will drive our sales and service face-to-face with our customers on a day-to-day basis.

We are a close-knit team, who are all passionate about John George, our products and the value we bring to our customers. You would be working with your colleagues in both the External and Internal Sales to support the Internal Sales Manager.

Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and delivering exceptional service. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions that meet those needs.

Duties



Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to drive sales and increase market share. Conduct market research to identify potential customers and understand their needs. Present and demonstrate products or services to clients, showcasing their benefits and features. Negotiate contracts and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business objectives. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and feedback in the company's CRM system. Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote products and expand professional connections.

Skills



Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of closing deals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and analysis. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently. A positive attitude with a passion for sales and customer service excellence.
