We are recruiting for a customer oriented Internal Sales Team Leader, working in conjunction with the Internal Sales Team Manager and group commercial team you will become a product specialist along with our commercial processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the UK Internal sales team is motivated and encouraged to hit and exceed daily, weekly and monthly KPI's and sales targets.
The UK internal Sales team introduce and manage proactive development within their own portfolio of customers both new and existing, The team Leader will support the Internal Sales Manager in their responsibility for increasing quotation enquiries and gains leading to shipment number increase across the UK, improving conversion rates & gross margin along with the proactive implementation of our IT Solutions Freight Portal - Weborder.
You will become an integral part of the training and development of existing and new employees and a key component in recruitment processes and in production of new services and products.
Main Duties:
Full engagement with customers promoting our strengths and services, but also empowering / motivating the team to work confidently and independently.
Understand and implement Rhenus road commercial defined processes and best practices.
Generating new opportunities for Rhenus through telesales and spot quoting
New Sales - research and prepare qualified sales leads for shipment volume development
Client onboarding new and existing with IT Solutions
Recording of sales activity in "Dynamics" CRM system
Support the team to achieve targets as directed by management
Development of existing client base
Pipeline of new potential customers
Maintain appropriate knowledge of the competition and marketplace
Knowledge of budgeted figures for both IT applications and Shipment / GM growth and development actions
KPI support for monthly analysis, Including Product & Gross Margin monitoring
Systems and applications (full training provided)
Client relation management tool
Business analysis tool (Power BI and Qlik Sense)
Quoting tool (RTC)
Transport management system - (ROC's)
Microsoft programmes
Expectations
UK travel to hubs and satellite branches
Monthly and annual achievement of KPI's set by management
What You Bring:
Key Competencies:
Clear communicator, with a coaching mindset
Target driven, with ability to manage own workload and times and assist other with theirs
Negotiation and Selling skills, which must include upselling and finding bespoke and niche opportunities
Problem solving skills to include conflict/compliant resolution for both internal and external customers and employees
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience of leading a team of sales staff with proven history of achieving company sales budgets
Experience in European Road freight Groupage, LTL and FTL shipping
Proficient in Microsoft office and Power-Bi would be advantageous
Experience in Social selling would be advantageous (Linkedin, etc)
Specific Systems Knowledge:
Spot price and tariff management tools
Knowledge of client booking portals
Qualifications:
Strong Pass in GCSE Maths and English
Recognised Leadership qualification
