Role Summary



To support business performance, we are recruiting an ambitious and results-driven nutraceutical

International Business Development Manager

. This role is central in driving organisational growth and delivering operation targets, by supporting other departments in meeting customer expectations.

The post holder's primary responsibility is to identify and secure new growth opportunities globally by building strategic partnerships, developing market entry strategies, and negotiating complex contracts for the contract manufacturing of our extensive VMS range.

Key responsibilities include executing growth strategies, market analysis, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and driving sales within designated international markets to meet departmental financial targets.

Principle Functions & Responsibilities:



Strategic Market Development:



Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services or new ways of reaching existing and new markets.

Partnership Cultivation:



Identify, build, and manage strategic partnerships, distributor networks, and joint ventures with international clients and vendors. Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotations, and presentations tailored to company and customer needs.

Product & Technical Support:



Promote and introduce new products and concepts, providing technical and product support to potential customers and internal stakeholders.

Market Research:



Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive intelligence to understand market trends, key players, regulatory environments, and new opportunities.

Sales & Contract Negotiation:



Identify and pursue new international business opportunities, drive new business development, introduce new products, and negotiate high-value international contracts and agreements with customers. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and lead generation.

Financial Oversight:



Take ownership of forecasting and delivering new business revenue, managing budgets, and meeting profitability targets.

Travel & Networking:



Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and build a network of key stakeholders and decision-makers.
The ideal candidate will require international sales experience, a strong understanding of the nutraceutical market, and excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills. Additionally, you will possess strong strategic, communication, and interpersonal skills, combined with cross-cultural awareness, commercial acumen, and analytical abilities to identify opportunities and drive growth in international markets

This position has been established to attract highly skilled candidates. Skills/Experience/Qualifications



The role of

International Business Development Manager

is multifaceted and requires both industry-specific qualifications and technical abilities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Formal Education:



Ideally, A degree or appropriate qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Ideally, bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent qualifications in Life Sciences, Nutrition, or Food Services.

Experience:



Industry Experience and Exposure:



Proven B2B sales or business development experience, with a strong preference for experience within the nutraceutical, functional food, or health supplement industries. Experience operating on an international level and building relationships with clients and stakeholders in different global markets.

Market Knowledge:



In-depth understanding of relevant marketplace trends and regulatory frameworks, such as EU and international regulations for nutraceuticals.

Sales Cycle Management:



Demonstrated success in managing the entire B2B sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to closing deals and managing client relationships. Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (Salesforce) with ability to manage accounts, track sales, and report on performance

Network:



Existing relationships or the ability to develop strong networks within the international markets.

Proven ability to sell products and services and persuade stakeholders to adopt new ideas or initiatives.
