Job Summary:

To efficiently launch International key business products with our partner carriers, whilst ensuring adherence to internal and external practices, including state filings, policy adaptations and claims process arrangements. Support the Focus Group Leader with data analysis to define and support team strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Turnkey Reinsurance



Responsibility for management of the Turnkey Reinsurance process from start to finish. Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to; Claims, Compliance and Specialty Risks Wordings teams. Develop and maintain professional and reliable working relationships with Beazley's partner carriers and brokers. Plan, direct, co-ordinate and maintain all Turnkey Reinsurance activity. Utilise project management methodology and controls processes to effectively manage each product line. Ensure that our product solutions comply with all relevant company, regulatory and legal requirements. Continuously seek to improve and refine the Turnkey Reinsurance process.

Product Implementation



Onboard new clients and prepare implementation timeline. Meet with carrier partner periodically to ensure timely implementation of product. Ensure carrier partner understands the turnkey process and has necessary materials to timely launch the turnkey product. Coordinates and acts as back up for relevant claims and underwriting trainings on new product. Work with claims to identify and coordinate claims handling for non-Beazley wordings claims handling. Maintain communication and relationships with carrier partners to ensure product runs smoothly and address issues as they arise. Work with underwriting and claims to draft, negotiate and review reinsurance contracts and claims service agreements

Wordings



Ensuring consistency, when making Policy adaptations between the US and International teams as well as with Specialty Risks underwriting standards. Liaising with underwriters and wordings regarding the use of, creation of and amendments to insurance wordings. Acting as liaison between Specialty Risks, Compliance and other insurance agencies, including our partner carriers, ensuring that insurance wordings are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations. Keeping abreast of new clauses and issues on relevant insurance wordings and making appropriate recommendations to underwriters. Keeping abreast of emerging claims issues.

Filing Process (if applicable)



Work with carrier partner to prepare filing package to include policy form, state amendatory endorsements and rate support for each product, including: + Ensure carrier partner has necessary materials for all regulatory filings.
+ In conjunction with underwriting and actuarial, provide support for quoted rates.
+ In conjunction with Compliance, ensure all rate and form filings are compliant with applicable state/country laws and regulations.
+ Stay abreast of all state and country regulatory changes.
+ Provide direction and guidance on Compliance and Regulatory affairs in relation to the implementation process to both our partner carriers and internal stakeholders.
+ Maintain effective management information to evidence Beazley's ongoing regulatory compliance with regards to the implementation process.

Strategic Management

Remain up to date with market conditions, peer and competitor behavior and how these interact with and relate to our strategy. Keeping abreast of competitors' insurance wordings and making appropriate recommendations to underwriters. Analyse team financial performance to identify trends to assist with setting growth targets. Responsible for shaping and delivering key messages from Beazley to internal and external stakeholders. Identify and respond to matters that arise internally from Senior Management as appropriate. Take a lead role in managing business initiatives around new and existing products to drive carrier partner uptake. Leading role in managing affairs between Claims and Underwriters regarding claims process, TPAs and wordings.

Product Development and Marketing



In conjunction with underwriting and marketing, prepare marketing materials or use existing collateral to advertise Beazley Product Solutions (BPS) products to prospective clients as well as for BPS cedents to use to market to their insureds. Monitor policy wording updates internally and ensure treaty products reflect updated wording. Conduct research and draft new product wording, when necessary for the International teams


Client Management



Assist and service partner carriers on the implementation process to ensure clients' satisfaction. Foster positive relationships with clients to get a mutual understanding of both their and Beazley's needs. Maintenance of good business relationships with brokers. Maintain awareness of overall Beazley product range.

General



Develop best practices around our operational needs within the Specialty Treaty and Specialty Risks team. Production of business plans/research documents for the Specialty Treaty account as required.

Education and Qualifications

Law or Risk Management Degree advantageous

Skills and Abilities

General Insurance and financial knowledge Knowledge of best practice Claims processes Accurate and numerate Computer skills - good working knowledge of MS Office, advanced Excel skills Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Able to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing Motivational skills, team worker as well as able to work on own initiative Ability to manage projects, time, meet deadlines and prioritise Good stakeholder management / influencing skills Fluency in one or more European languages in addition to English helpful but not required

Knowledge and Experience

Understanding of Insurance Claims handling Thorough grasp of underwriting policy, philosophy and practice Working knowledge of State/Country Filing processes Knowledge of P&C insurance industry and standards Client service experience Knowledge of Cyber, D&O or Professional Liability helpful but not required
