Job Profile:

The International Finance Controller will play a pivotal role within the Group Finance team, overseeing the financial control and reporting activities of the Group's 40+ international legal entities across Malta, Germany, the UK, and India.

Based in London, this role is responsible for ensuring robust financial governance, accurate statutory and management reporting, and compliance with local and international accounting standards.

The position will work closely with local finance teams, external advisors, and senior management to drive consistency, efficiency, and control across the Group's accounting operations, ensuring that financial processes and systems support the business's global growth and strategic objectives.
Your Responsibilities:

Financial Control & Reporting

Oversee and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for international entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Consolidate financial results across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring alignment with Group accounting policies and IFRS. Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with Group policies, local GAAP, and statutory requirements. Support preparation of the Group's consolidated financial statements and audit deliverables. Review and challenge entity-level management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure all international entities meet local statutory filing, and audit obligations. Liaise with external auditors across relevant jurisdictions. Implement and maintain strong internal control frameworks across all entities.

Process Improvement & Systems

Identify and deliver process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and data accuracy. Support the implementation and optimisation of the Group's ERP and reporting systems across international entities. Drive consistency in accounting practices and reporting formats across the Group.

Leadership & Collaboration

Partner with local finance teams in Malta, Germany, the UK, and India to ensure compliance and operational excellence. Support the Group Financial Controller in strategic projects. Provide guidance and mentorship to local finance teams.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Minimum 7+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally in an international, multi-entity environment. Experience in audit, consolidation, and statutory reporting with strong understanding of IFRS reporting requirements and interpretation of new standards Proven track record of managing multi-jurisdictional finance operations. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar) preferred.

Team player who can operate globally, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organisation, taking ownership and demonstrating initiative.
