International Occupancy Planning Lead



JLL is seeking an Occupancy Planning Lead to partner with in developing strategic plans for space usage and location of business groups. This role will report to the Global Occupancy Planning Lead and partner closely with the client's Regional Real Estate Teams to drive tactical and strategic planning aligned with the client's portfolio objectives, while also advocating for their workplace goals. The manager also serves as the single point of contact for quality control in terms of consistency in planning processes, procedures, and protocols.



Please note this is a hybrid role, however on-site attendance will be required as needed. If you are offered the role- you will be expected to comply.



The Role:



As an Occupancy Planning Lead, you'll be a dynamic thinker managing corporate-wide planning standards, company image control, and special ad-hoc planning analyses, and will serve as the manager to a team of JLL occupancy planners. The Occupancy Planning Lead will partner closely with the client to anticipate and understand the requests coming from different client groups, assess space options, and work with the team to develop options that account for competing priorities and requests. This requires strong relationship management skills along with dealing with very sensitive information.



You'll need to have a great knowledge of Corporate Real Estate and familiarity with activity-based working, change management, and utilization tracking and reporting. In this role, you will proactively drive space planning and data management programs and processes in alignment with the Global standards to help the client achieve their real estate and workplace objectives. You will provide a mechanism to engage "swat" teams as needed to respond to unexpected needs. You will serve as liaison and facilitate necessary communication between occupancy planning staff, other Jones Lang LaSalle team members, client real estate staff, and other cross-functional partners from both JLL and the client (including but not limited to Program Management, Facilities Management, Security, MAC, CAD/CAFM ) as required to deliver the services outlined (important to have "partner" mindset).



Key Responsibilities:



We are looking for a team leader who brings out the best in their teams and exhibits managerial courage when needed.



To be successful in this role, you should be able to ensure global consistency in the delivery of services by providing training and review of all deliverables; guarantee that Jones Lang LaSalle's continually evolving best practices are incorporated into the work product of the entire team; and maintain a strong collaboration with other JLL service lines.

Support the client's regional planners in detailed data analysis to drive portfolio strategy, project development, and clear messaging regarding site and building metrics.

Work closely with facilities, MAC, projects, and local stakeholders to provide detailed scenario planning and occupancy planning to improve the efficiency of the client's real estate portfolio.

Support client's regional planners in demand planning analysis by maintaining site occupancy and capacity metrics.

Support client's regional planners and translate macro-level scenario plans into stack plan development (at site or building level).

Responsible for process improvements to provide efficiencies in delivering services, thought leadership, and overall performance of the team.

Responsible for ensuring a high level of occupancy data accuracy and adherence to defined data quality key performance indicators



Requirements:



A Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field is required

8 - 15 years of experience in a corporate environment.

MBA is preferred.

Previous experience in space/occupancy planning and space data management at a strategic level

Experience leading a diverse team, preferable global in scale



You'll need to be dynamic and technologically savvy and utilize software to support planning solutions and communicate ideas clearly with the planning team and lines of business. You will be successful if you have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlook-up, cell calculations), and CAFM tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to consolidate data and floor plans into PowerPoint for presentations to clients and lines of business is highly valued. You'll be effective in your role by learning to ask the right questions to understand the underlying needs of our clients. You'll discover how to be proactive and innovative with solutions for your stakeholders.



Excellent communication skills are important - both written and spoken - and we'll expect you to work independently, multi-task, and manage your time to meet deadlines. You keep on top of things as you'll often need to reorganize your time day to day, to deal with your team's changing necessities and requests. An individual with strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive-level external and internal clients will be successful in the role. Most importantly, you'll want to work as part of a diverse supportive, and talented team.
