THE ROLE

The International Purchasing Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing daily ordering and ensuring efficient processes are upheld. They will take responsibility for accurate and up to date logs, and stock management within the procurement environment. The role will be responsible for negotiating through international shipping and potential risk to business arising from stock disturbance, The role supports and links in with the entire procurement team, ensuring adequate resources are in place to fulfil business demands.

PROCESS/OPERATIONS

Maintain accurate procurement logs and stock records.

Negotiate with suppliers and logistics providers to optimise cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

Identify and address risks related to stock shortages or supply chain disruptions.

Collaborate closely with the Head of procurement to ensure adequate resources are available to meet business demands.

Ensure compliance with company policies, international trade regulations, and industry standards.

FINANCIAL/ COMMERCIALS

Responsible for continuous improvement. Leading initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving service, and enhancing overall purchasing efficiency

Making the best use of available software, systems, equipment, and personnel to maximise financial performance

RISK/ PROCESS/HEALTH, SAFETY, WELFARE

Coordinate

inbound deliveries

in accordance with all UK regulations and PTT-specific guidelines.

Promote

interdepartmental communication and collaboration

to support and maintain a safe working environment.

Identify

and assess risks

associated with specific products, including those requiring additional safety alerts.

Maintain

a safe and well-organised working environment

in cooperation with colleagues to ensure operational efficiency.

Regularly

review and update best working practices

, including posture awareness, screen breaks, and ergonomic guidelines.

Ensure

correct use of PPE

in all designated areas, in line with company policies and safety requirements.
