Santec is a dynamic, high-tech company, supplying lasers and fibre optic products to the telecom, semiconductor and med-tech industries. The products are manufactured in our factories in Japan, Canada, USA (California) and Australia. Our office on Milton Park, Abingdon provides sales, marketing and technical support to customers throughout Europe, Middle East and India.
Our customer base includes Universities, small start-ups as well as world renown multinational companies. We push the boundaries of technology to make a positive impact on society. You will be in contact with clients from different countries every day and an international outlook is essential.
Due to continued growth there is a vacancy for a Sales Coordinator who will be the interface between our sales engineers, customers and our production teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Order processing
- Liaise with overseas production facilities to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Status updates to customers as necessary.
- Manage shipping arrangements, including import & export.
- Invoicing.
The role is varied, working within a small office, and requires someone who is organized, can work independently and is flexible to manage the varied workload.
You should have good A-levels, or be qualified to bachelor degree level, and have an interest in international trade. Experience in import/export would be an advantage, but training will be provided to an appropriate candidate. Good communication skills, a positive attitude and an exceptional eye for detail are prerequisites.
