Role overview





We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute sales leader to take on the key strategic role of

International Sales Manager - Western & Northern Europe

.



In this role, you will drive profitable growth across assigned European markets. You'll be responsible for building strategic partnerships, achieving sales targets, and expanding market presence through effective distributor and customer relationship management. The ideal candidate will be highly commercially minded, entrepreneurial, and skilled at influencing stakeholders across complex, matrixed environments.


Key responsibilities and skills

:


Market Development:

Identify and pursue opportunities for growth by implementing commercial strategies and managing local execution across multiple channels and categories within each market.

Distributor & Customer Management:

Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with distributors, key accounts, and retail partners to deliver joint business plans.

Sales Strategy Execution:

Translate global sales strategies into actionable regional plans aligned with overall business goals.

Commercial Ownership:

Oversee budgets, forecasts, pricing, promotional investment, and margin performance to ensure profitability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment across functions.

Travel:

Willingness to travel internationally 30%-50% of the year, particularly during key seasonal periods, trade events, and planning cycles.

Commercial Acumen:

Demonstrated financial insight and a results-driven mindset.

Entrepreneurial Drive:

Proactive, innovative, and agile in identifying opportunities and addressing market challenges.

Industry Knowledge:

Knowledge of the global drinks or alcoholic beverage industry is advantageous. Strong experience in FMCG or branded consumer goods will also be considered.

Networking & Influencing:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport, influence senior stakeholders, and navigate complex organizations.

Matrix Management:

Proven ability to operate effectively across multiple functions and regions.

Experience & Attributes




Ideally, 5+ years of sales experience, preferably within international drinks, FMCG, or consumer goods sectors. Strong experience managing distributors/wholesalers or key retail/chain customers is also valuable.


Energetic, self-motivated, and resilient. Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities. Comfortable operating in fast-paced, dynamic environments. High cultural awareness and adaptability to diverse global markets.
