Responsibilities

Design and develop fire protection systems, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and industry standards. Conduct thorough assessments of existing fire safety systems and recommend improvements or upgrades as necessary. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate fire safety measures into building designs. Create detailed schematics and technical drawings using CAD software for fire protection systems. Utilise hand tools and power tools for the installation and maintenance of fire safety equipment. Perform regular inspections and testing of fire systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance. Provide technical support and guidance during the construction phase of projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications. Stay updated on the latest developments in fire safety technology and regulations.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge related to fire safety systems. Proficient in system design, with the ability to build effective fire protection solutions. Experience reading and interpreting schematics for electrical and mechanical systems. Familiarity with CAD software for creating detailed designs and layouts. Competent in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
