Job Description

Cardiff-based Electronic Engineering and Manufacturing company looking for a suitable candidate to fill a permanent position as inventory assistant. Though not essential, the candidate would benefit from some background or experience in electronics. We are offering this position with great opportunity to progress within the company.

Duties



Duties include, management of stock materials and regular monitoring of stock levels using our in-house IT system, checking goods-in and barcode as well as correctly assigning goods-out. Organisation of inventory materials for upcoming projects to include raising purchase orders, tracking of ordered goods, inspection of delivered items and using Items Lists to collate component kits to be sent for assembly. The candidate will also be required to print barcodes as well as raise serial numbers using our IT system to ensure traceability on production lines.

One of the main duties for this role is to assist production operatives by providing parts needed, upon request, from our component stores, by following the requisition procedure assigning the materials and updating the stock level accordingly.

Occasional duties will include;

Aiding in the creation of assembly instructions used by production operatives referencing Assembly numbers, Part numbers, and Items List Collection or drop-off of materials to/from local suppliers Filling in on the production line should there be a temporary labour shortage or carrying out small one-off assembly jobs that are not in our regular production lines.

Summary



As an Inventory Assistant, you will be integral to maintaining inventory organization and enabling management to effectively monitor existing production lines. Reporting to the Production Manager, your core skills and organizational abilities and will be essential for optimizing stock levels and production efficiency.

Qualifications



Undergraduate degree or 3 years' experience in similar role IT Literacy, use of printers and scanners Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Strong ability to follow instruction Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel Strong communication skills and English fluency required Excellent time management and administrative skills

Pay: 23,443.00-25,000.00 per year
