Description of the Role:




An exciting and challenging role with room for growth, development, and ownership of a pivotal business area during a time of change due to unprecedented growth.


As a manufacturing business, with a need to hold a very significant inventory, we are looking for a self-starter who can understand, build, and implement processes to make improvements to support the operational and financial inventory objectives of the business.


This key role requires someone who not only has a good understanding of warehouse movements, production, and finished goods, but is interested in an opportunity to help shape and influence how the business looks after inventory in the future, by working with key stakeholders.


The successful candidate will join a highly focused, passionate team, working on a range of exciting and challenging initiatives to support the safe, on-time, and on-cost production of vehicles ranging from 3.5t Pick Up trucks and vans to 16.5t Unimogs. Responsible for:



Oversee and manage inventory to ensure adequate stock levels. Monitor and track inventory movements and transactions. Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices. Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and plan for future demand. Utilise Epicor software to track and manage inventory. Analyse inventory data and generate reports to support decision-making. Deal with invoice and purchase order queries. Weekly inventory of PPE items and place replacement orders. Re-order sundry items as required. Process stock adjustment forms and maintain spreadsheet. Ad-hoc inventory checks. Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested.

Hours of Work




42 hours per week, working: -


Monday to Thursday 7.00am - 4.15pm (with 30 minutes for lunch)


Friday 7.00am - 2.30pm (with 30 minutes for lunch)

Personal Specification



Essential Attributes





The ability to work under your own initiative with a high degree of integrity and honesty.


Excellent attention to detail.


Be highly numerate and articulate with excellent organizational skills.


Have good IT skills (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)


A genuine interest in "what we do"

Desirable Attributes




EPICOR experience would be advantageous.


A financial appreciation of the working capital and P&L impact of inventory.
