We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Planner to join our West London team. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth purchasing operations, accurate stock control, and efficient communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders. You'll manage supplier orders, maintain system accuracy, and provide backup support for Passed Orders, ensuring that deliveries and stock allocations run seamlessly..



What you'll be doing:

Place and manage stock orders in line with sales forecasts and budget requirements (from suppliers and within the branch network) Check and process order confirmations, ensuring accuracy Run and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports Support with buy-ins, forecasting, and forward planning to optimise stock levels Manage SLOBs (Slow Moving and Obsolete Stock) effectively Resolve supplier invoice queries promptly and professionally Maintain daily contact with suppliers via phone and email regarding deliveries, lead times, and price changes Keep internal systems updated and communicate relevant supplier updates to internal teams

Passed Orders Support:

Check all outstanding SBO (Sales Back Order) lines and allocate newly arrived stock accordingly Manage emails to and from the West London Passed Orders inbox Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls regarding Passed Orders Liaise with transport teams to resolve failed deliveries or on-site issues


What you'll bring:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems (experience with in-house ERP systems is an advantage) Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines Analytical mindset with good numerical and reporting skills Confidence in liaising with suppliers and internal teams
