As an Inverter Project Engineer, you\'ll be at the forefront of designing, developing, testing, and introducing Traction Inverter Power Electronics components and sub-assemblies. Your expertise will contribute to JLR\'s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the realm of electrified vehicles.

Key Accountabilties and Responsibilities

You will have the unique opportunity to:

Take technical ownership of power electronic circuitry and sub-components throughout the product development lifecycle.

Ensure on-time delivery of power electronics hardware plans, meeting quality and cost targets.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Mechanical, PCB Design, Embedded Software, Controls, and E-Machine teams.

Uphold JLR requirements and standards across the product development lifecycle.

Develop and maintain comprehensive engineering design documentation for power electronics circuitry and sub-components.

Provide input into new feature development and contribute to Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning deliverables.

Lead resolution of key development, launch, and ongoing quality issues involving power electronic assemblies.

WHAT YOU\'LL NEED

Experience with inverters with working voltages up to 1000V and power ratings exceeding 150kW.

Knowledge of IGBTs, MOSFETs, and associated drive/monitoring circuitry (Si and wide band gap device technologies).

Strong first principles approach with experience delivering tolerance and lifetime calculations.

Familiarity with failure mode avoidance processes (DFMEA and FTA) and ISO26262 standards.

Expertise in design according to global EMC standards.
