Having achieved quick deployment and strong investment performance in recent years, we are growing our Global Private Equity team and seeking to hire an Investment Associate. The role will be office-based in London, with flexibility to work from home on Fridays, subject to work commitments. The role may also involve occasional UK and international travel. This is a collaborative and long-tenured team with a wealth of experience and a reputation for an honest and straightforward approach to investing. The successful applicant would have significant exposure to this senior team, providing opportunities for learning and development. Whilst the role is based in London, the Global Private Equity team is deeply integrated across the UK, US and Asia and effectively operates as one team, providing opportunities for collaboration with international colleagues. The successful candidate would be responsible for a wide range of exciting activities including: Investment Execution: Supporting on new investments including research, due diligence, financial modelling, financial analysis, and preparation of investment committee memorandums, alongside significant exposure to management teams and advisors. Investment Sourcing: Preparing research into sectors of interest to identify potential target companies, preparation of presentations to support investment sourcing activities, and supporting on direct outreach to companies of interest. Portfolio Management: Ad-hoc support with portfolio company initiatives (e.g., M&A, strategic planning, etc), alongside supporting the investment team on performance monitoring and reporting. Skills and Qualifications: Essential:


  • 2-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in either Private Equity, Venture Capital, M&A, Corporate Finance, Corporate Development, Transaction Services, or Commercial Diligence.

  • Comfortable building and working with financial models and complex spreadsheets.

  • Good grasp of financial analysis and key accounting concepts.

  • Solid business acumen, with an awareness of and ability to form a view on basic market factors including competition, growth dynamics, and business models to evaluate potential new investments.

  • Ability to prepare and present high-quality research incorporating multiple sources
Preferred:

  • Experience working with businesses/or clients within B2B software or B2B Services.

  • ACA, CFA, or equivalent finance qualification.

  • Open-minded and curious nature, with an eagerness to learn.

  • Proactive, and desire to go above-and-beyond when the opportunity presents.
