About the job
IOW Infrastructure track maintenance team carry out vital inspections, repairs and renewals of the 08mile 31chain Island Line Service. The Track Person will become part of a growing and developing team that will be undertaking manual maintenance of rails, sleepers and track components including carrying out safety critical roles and competencies.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Undertaking Safety Critical Roles
Undertaking out manual maintenance and inspections of track infrastructure
Adhere to the current safety culture
Adhere to the current Railway Rulebooks and Network Rail standards
Undertaking stock and resource management
On call requirements
You'll need to be:
Experienced within the track maintenance or equivalent industry
Understand key principles of safety critical competencies
Have an understanding in Engineering and/or maintenance or equivalent industry
Good literacy and computer skills
Experienced with manual and Battery/Petrol plant machinery
Valid UK Driving licence
Working pattern
Working an average of 35 hours per week over 5 days
Nights - Monday to Wednesday 2100 to 0600 / Thursday 2200 to 0600
