A top-tier international law firm is looking to recruit a mid-level Intellectual Property (IP) Associate to join its growing London team. This is a superb opportunity for a confident and experienced lawyer to work across both contentious and non-contentious matters as part of a high-performing, international practice.

The IP team advises on the full range of IP rights and offers clients a comprehensive service covering litigation, strategic advisory, licensing, prosecution and transactional support. The group works closely with other departments across the firm on major cross-border mandates and complex matters involving cutting-edge technologies and high-value assets.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on a wide range of IP matters. This is a varied position involving both contentious and advisory work, offering high levels of responsibility and client contact from the outset.
Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on IP strategy, enforcement and protection across a range of industries
  • Handling UK High Court and IPO proceedings
  • Drafting and negotiating complex licensing and IP commercial agreements
  • Providing freedom to operate, clearance, and infringement advice
  • Supporting major transactions involving IP rights across multiple jurisdictions
  • Coordinating with colleagues internationally on multi-jurisdictional matters
  • Contributing to internal know-how and mentoring more junior team members
About You
  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent) with solid post-qualification experience in IP law
  • Experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious IP matters
  • Strong technical skills and commercial awareness
  • Ability to manage client relationships and work effectively within a collaborative team
  • Experience working with clients in sectors such as life sciences, technology or consumer goods is advantageous
  • A proactive, client-focused approach and genuine enthusiasm for IP law
