Part-Time Islamic Studies Teacher

Start Date: August 2025

Hours: Approx. 3 hours per week (increasing to 9 hours from January 2026 to cover maternity leave)

Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience

The Role

We are looking to appoint a passionate and committed Islamic Studies teacher to join our successful and supportive department. The initial role involves teaching Year 9 students preparing for the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Islamic Studies examination in the summer. From January 2026, hours will increase to cover maternity leave.

Has a genuine passion for delivering a creative and engaging Islamic curriculum Ideally has experience with the Pearson IGCSE Islamic Studies specification Can inspire, motivate and enthuse learners Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations Shares and supports the values and aspirations of our school Has strong interpersonal skills and enjoys working as part of a collaborative, hard-working team
