About the Company

EmmersonWills is a growing business consultancy. Our primary service is the design, installation and ongoing support of management systems for our clients throughout the UK. Our main focus, in an ever-expanding scope, is the changing and disruption of ISO management systems such as 9001 Quality, 14001 Environmental, 45001 Health & Safety, and now 27001 Information Security.

We pride ourselves on being The ISO Simplification Experts, and we continue to wow our growing client base in each interaction -- creating an enjoyable, varied, and satisfying working environment with a diverse range of enthusiastic business professionals.

About the Position

Due to our ongoing growth, we are looking for an

ISO 27001 Consultant & Auditor

. We're seeking a dynamic and driven individual who wants to grow and advance with the business.

This role requires proven experience in the implementation and auditing of

ISO 27001:2022

. Your first priority will be to create repeatable, scalable internal systems fully aligned with our established EmmersonWills processes and procedures. Once embedded, your work will expand to operational delivery for clients, including system creation, installation, and auditing to the EmmersonWills standard.

Experience with other ISO standards (such as 9001, 14001 or 45001) would be beneficial. Your existing knowledge will be enhanced through our in-house training and development programme, focused on EmmersonWills' simple, practical approach to building and operating management systems that genuinely work in practice - not just on paper.

You may be early in your senior career, provided you have the competence and confidence to manage 27001 implementation. The successful applicant will be highly organised, a clear communicator, and naturally detail-driven, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and above-average IT and Microsoft Office ability.

You're open-minded and proactive, ready to 'muck in' across the business. You'll be an ambassador for the company - always alert to business development opportunities and proud to contribute to our continued growth. A "can do" attitude that embraces challenges and seeks solutions is part of our culture - and it will be part of you too.

Part of your work will take place on client sites, with some remote support. Travel and hotel stays will be required. Most of this is planned, but flexibility is occasionally needed for short-notice cover.

Your base will be our Torquay office, and while a flexible hybrid working approach is offered (Torquay office, client sites, and occasionally from home), applicants must live within a commutable distance, as much of the training and system development will take place in our Torquay offices -- often directly with the MD.

Working Pattern

This role primarily operates Monday to Friday, with regular operational travel and overnight stays, which may involve early mornings and occasional evening work. Weekend work is rare but may be required for specific client needs or business events. Flexibility is essential.

Compensation

Salary 41,000 p/annum

Benefits
