IT Security Consultant - Contract (Netherlands)
Our client, based in the Netherlands, is seeking a hands-on IT Security Consultant on a contract basis to support a series of major security and auditing initiatives.
Location: Netherlands
Contract length: 3 months (interim)
Working pattern: Full-time, hybrid occasional on-site presence in the Netherlands is required
Rate: Competitive day rate, outside IR35
The role
You will be part of end-to-end cybersecurity audits across a large and complex network, covering both on-premises and cloud/remote servers. You will assess security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, security baselines, access controls), respond quickly to audit findings, and provide hands-on diagnostics and remediation in a dynamic environment.
You should have:
At least 6 years' experience working in IT / cybersecurity roles
Proven experience leading comprehensive cyber security audits in large-scale on-prem and off-prem environments
Strong skills in evaluating and auditing security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, baselines, access controls etc.)
The ability to respond promptly to audit issues and support remediation with practical, hands-on solutions
Desirable certifications
CISSP
CISA
ISO 27001 (Lead Auditor preferred)
CISM
AZ-500
Other relevant recognised security certification
