The Associate will play a central role in planning and delivering the ISSB's participation in high-profile international events, while also supporting the coordination of key strategic initiatives. The role involves managing event timelines, logistics, and briefing materials, and ensuring effective collaboration across teams. It offers strong exposure to global sustainability and policy platforms and is well-suited to someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the public interest


Principal accountabilities:




Lead and coordinate the planning and delivery of the ISSB's participation in high-profile global events (e.g., COPs, Climate Weeks, WEF), including internal alignment, logistics, timelines, and documentation. Support the development of event strategies and participation outlines; prepare and edit briefing notes in close coordination with internal teams. Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., Engagement, Comms, Operations) and external partners to ensure seamless execution of strategic events. Monitor and track developments related to key global forums relevant to the ISSB's strategic positioning. Support team-wide tracking and coordination of strategic priorities, including planning tools, calendars, and team workflows. Represent the ISSB Strategic Affairs team in internal meetings, capturing updates and supporting follow-through where needed. Contribute to a collaborative team culture and undertake ad hoc tasks in support of the broader ISSB strategic affairs agenda.

Key qualifications and experience:




Some relevant experience in event planning, project coordination, or stakeholder engagement, ideally in an international, policy, or sustainability-focused context. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain attention to detail under pressure. Excellent english communication skills, both written and verbal. Communicates in a concise, clear and well-structured way, appropriately tailored to the audience. Exceptional writing and drafting skills with a clear, logical and consistent articulation of issues, evidence, analysis, and recommendations. Listens actively; understands and respects others' viewpoints; synthesises and summarises feedback accurately and completely. A collaborative, diplomatic approach with the ability to work across teams and cultures. Sound judgment, discretion, and reliability in handling sensitive or high-profile assignments. A proactive mindset and willingness to learn; able to adapt in a dynamic, fast-moving team. Familiarity with the sustainability, international organisation, or multilateral space is an advantage. Commitment to the Foundation's mission and values, and willingness to undertake international travel if required.
