We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and manage our organisation's information technology systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of computer networking, system administration, and IT support, ensuring the seamless operation of our technological environment. Duties

Manage and maintain the organisation's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services (AWS and Azure).

Oversee system administration tasks involving Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and VMware. Manage upgrades to the company's website, internal software, and digital tools. Oversee the daily operation of all IT systems, networks, and software applications. Ensure the proper functioning of network services such as DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls. Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance security and efficiency. Provide technical support for users across various platforms including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, and PowerShell. Conduct regular analysis of system performance to identify areas for improvement. Facilitate training sessions for staff on new technologies and software applications. Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT solutions meet organisational needs. Maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and user guides.

Experience

Proven experience in an IT management role or similar position. Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and practices. Proficiency in system administration across various operating systems (Windows and Linux). Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash (Unix shell). Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware) is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving. Effective communication skills in English to liaise with technical and non-technical staff alike. Administrative experience in an IT context is advantageous.
