33,277.26 - 36,785.65 (Grade 5)

HOURS:

35 Hours per week - Monday to Friday - 52 week contract

Purpose of the Role



The IT and Digital Manager will lead the development, delivery and ongoing improvement of Petty Pool Trust's digital infrastructure and strategy. This includes ensuring robust IT systems, maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, embedding secure data practices, and driving forward digital transformation across all services and sites.

Working closely with leadership and service teams, the role will champion a digital-first culture that supports operational efficiency, inclusive access, and strategic development. This post also includes oversight of data protection, management of the IT Support Technician, and responsibility for the IT and digital budget.

Key Responsibilities



Digital Strategy & Innovation



Lead the delivery of Petty Pool Trust's digital strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, accessibility, and communication through digital tools. Help each area of the organisation define their area specific digital strategy, with consideration to the needs of the service users and staff. Support teams to adopt new platforms, apps and cloud-based tools that promote collaboration, inclusion, and efficiency. Monitor sector trends and emerging technologies to ensure Petty Pool remains forward-facing and future-ready. Champion a digital culture across the organisation, supporting digital literacy and upskilling where needed.

IT Systems and Infrastructure



Manage all core IT infrastructure including hardware, software, servers, networks, Wi-Fi, user accounts and devices across multiple sites. Lead on IT planning and implementation for any new buildings or developments. Ensure the organisation's systems are resilient, fit for purpose, and regularly maintained to minimise downtime and maximise security. Oversee the IT helpdesk function, ensuring staff receive timely and effective support.

Cyber Security and Accreditation



Maintain Petty Pool's Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation and ensure all systems remain compliant with cyber security best practice. Implement robust processes for threat detection, incident response, and ongoing risk assessment. Liaise with external security consultants as needed to conduct audits and penetration testing.

Data Protection Oversight



Hold shared responsibility for ensuring the organisation's compliance with data protection legislation, with a particular focus on IT-related data protection requirements. Support the development, review, and implementation of data protection policies and procedures. Implement and maintain IT processes and controls to protect personal and sensitive data, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Deliver and coordinate training for staff on IT-specific data protection requirements and good practice. Work closely with the Data Protection Officer and relevant teams to monitor compliance, address risks, and respond to incidents or breaches in line with policy.

Team and Budget Management



Line manage the IT Support Technician, including supervision, workload planning, and professional development. Plan and manage the annual IT and digital budget, ensuring strategic investment in systems, licences, and infrastructure. Manage relationships with external IT providers, digital suppliers, and service partners.
