We are recruiting for Business Applications Specialist will act as an IT customer service and technical expert at the forefront of the IT Support team. You will take ownership and responsibility for providing timely diagnosis, solutions, documentation, implementation, administration and high-level support for internal customers through our helpdesk platform and various communication channels. This will be a varied role and key tasks will include:

Ownership of core applications including implementing alerting and being reactive to alerts Demonstrating excellent customer service for the requests coming through helpdesk Investigating problems using a wide range of tools to resolve issues and implanting remedies and preventative measures Creating and maintaining support documentation for the applications and systems to be used by both the technology department and end users Communicating any outages or planned maintenance to applications quickly and efficiently to all relevant stakeholders Producing relevant reports and discussing with stakeholders to discuss any changes in the reporting process
Skills & Experience Required:

Experience in using Office 365 and Exchange Online environments
Good understanding of Microsoft technologies in both end users and administration (DHCP, DNS, VPN)

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose IT support queries through Helpdesk Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation to ensure the continuous operation and support of our end user and IT infrastructure Qualification of Microsoft or Azure is desirable Beneficial knowledge of Manage Engine & Zoho One

Our working hours are 8.45am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday, and you would be 'on call' (on rotation) after passing the probation successfully. The role is based in our central Manchester office, with the option to work 2 days per week at home (in the UK).
