As a Business Systems IT Apprentice you will enhance our team's expertise and support the integration of new technologies, assist in technical testing procedures, validate system and process integration, document testing results, and assist with system administration and end user setup. This role offers a structured learning path across various disciplines, including IT project management, systems application support, IT infrastructure support and business intelligence.



The apprentice will work closely with experienced professionals in our Warwick office and in dealer environments requiring occasional travel. They will contribute to the maintenance and support of critical legacy systems while gaining hands-on experience with new platforms, alongside achieving a level 3 apprenticeship qualification. You will be working in a team of 8 with rotation in other departments, you will work cross functionally with the IT team.


Your Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test plans, ensuring that new systems meet required technical specifications and performance standards, while sharing test results with the team Validate that new & existing systems fulfil, and support intended business functions correctly and integrate business processes accordingly Provide end user support for existing Volvo IT dealer systems. Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, user manuals, troubleshooting guides and reports Assist in the installation and configuration of computer hardware, software, and networking equipment under the guidance of senior technicians Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide recommendations for improving IT infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness

Who are you?

You have excellent Microsoft 365 knowledge (advanced Excel skills is advantageous). You have effective communication, both written and oral, strong numerical, and analytical skills. You will also need:


A driver's license is preferred GCSE or A-level qualifications. Additional education or certification in IT-related fields is advantageous.

Knowledge and understanding of IT environments and networked services Strong interest and understanding of computer hardware components, operating systems, software applications and networking concepts. Cybersecurity awareness and a commitment to data confidentiality and security Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across a wide range of teams. Excellent communication skills to provide both technical support & present technical information to a wide audience. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures. Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
