What does this team do?

As an IT Auditor, you will play a critical role in assessing the effectiveness of technology systems used for financial reporting and key performance indicators. You will delve into the intricacies of business operations, identifying and evaluating the risks associated with technology usage. You will also develop a deep understanding of auditing cybersecurity processes and the application of emerging technologies like AI and robotic process automation.

This role provides invaluable exposure to the inner workings of high-performing businesses, from FTSE 100 giants to smaller entities. You will gain insights into how technology and digital processes drive business success, their alignment with broader strategic goals, and how risks are managed and controlled. You will develop the crucial skill of translating complex technical information into clear, concise explanations of the impact of IT issues on a company's financial performance - a highly sought-after ability in today's market.

This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your skillset, work on diverse and challenging projects, and contribute to the success of a wide range of clients. International travel opportunities may also arise, depending on audit entity needs and project assignments. Our purpose is to safeguard the public interest and build confidence and trust in the businesses by ensuring that the financial information provided to stakeholders is true and fair, thereby making a real impact on society. If you are seeking a rewarding career where you can make a real difference, we encourage you to apply. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace where all individuals can thrive.

What skills and academic qualifications do I need?

This programme is for university students who are doing well academically and want to test their skills in the real world.

Where will I work?

At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We value both in-person collaboration and the flexibility that allows for a healthy work-life balance. We operate a hybrid work model, combining office and remote work arrangements. While client-facing roles may require on-site visits, your meetings will be a blend of virtual and in-person interactions. Your initial induction and final assessment will be conducted in person, providing valuable networking and relationship-building opportunities.

All our work spaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team. You can find further information on our

parent and carer policies here.

You will be joining a world-class Summer Vacation Scheme at Deloitte. Whilst being paid a competitive salary, you'll get a real feel for who we are and if we're the right fit for your future. You may get the opportunity to complete the programme with a Graduate job offer for September 2026. (This will depend on performance and availability and would be for the same office and business area as your Industrial Placement programme, so please apply in line with your preferences). All of which is driven by our shared sense of purpose:

You'll receive a comprehensive induction and training plan. And we'll assign you a buddy, so you'll always have a friendly face to turn to. There will be regular check-ins with the wider team, who'll support and encourage you every step of the way.

Being trusted with real responsibility will give you the opportunity to see what you're capable of. Not only will this look great on your CV, but you'll learn transferrable skills, knowledge, and expertise.

If things go well, you might even be offered a position on our Graduate Programme. Offers are made based on your placement location, so we encourage you to think carefully about where you want to start your graduate career at Deloitte when applying.
