What is the overall job?
The IT Business Analyst will be based in the London Head Office and will provide critical business analysis support to the Cyber Security Programme Manager, enabling the successful delivery of a multi-year, enterprise-wide cyber security uplift initiative. This role is pivotal in translating business needs, regulatory requirements, and technical objectives into clear, actionable requirements, contributing to the overall defence-in-depth programme and uplift of the organisation's NIST CSF and CIS Controls maturity.
Other key responsibilities will include:
  • Work collaboratively with the Cyber Security Programme Manager and key stakeholders to identify, analyse, and document business, technical, and process requirements to support all programme workstreams, including process redesign, technology deployment, and policy/governance enhancements.
  • Lead interviews, workshops, and working sessions to elicit requirements and validate that proposed solutions align with organisational and regulatory security objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain business process maps, requirements documentation, gap analyses, decision logs, and other artefacts required for robust programme governance and control assurance.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for delivery partners and IT teams, ensuring alignment with defence-in-depth, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls goals.
  • Support the Programme Manager throughout the RFI, RFP process, vendor engagement, and overall delivery, providing business analysis and contributing to evaluation and selection of solutions.
  • Track risks, issues, and dependencies related to business processes and support the Programme Manager in maintaining accurate status reporting and escalation routes.
  • Assist in the development of training, reporting, and communications to support user adoption and ensure that new security controls and processes are embedded successfully across the organisation.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
  • Solid experience as a Business Analyst in IT or cyber security-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and risk management.
  • Proven experience in enterprise-scale transformation or uplift programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
Desirable:
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or PRINCE2 Agile
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI
  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
A note on diversity:
Diversity is about celebrating the ways we are all different and appreciating the unique qualities that every employee brings. We invite applications from people of all genders, cultures and walks of life. Research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups are less like to apply for roles if they don't meet every qualification. So even if you don't match all the criteria - if you are passionate about helping to construct a better future, we'd love to hear from you.
We are committed to providing a barrier-free work environment and can support with reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process. Simply inform our Talent Acquisition team during your conversation with them.
