The IT Business Relationship Manager (IT BRM) will serve as a pivotal link between the IT department and various business units, ensuring that technology investments align with business strategies and objectives. This role is crucial for maximising the value derived from technology initiatives and fostering innovation within the organisation. The IT BRM function is an integral part in the Innovation Group, driving new ideas and solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities


Act as a key point of contact between IT and business units, ensuring clear communication and alignment with organisational goals supporting the development of innovation ideas Successfully engage with key stakeholders, translating complexity into understandable messaging that effectively highlights the positive impact of technological change for them, their team, and the business Support the business in the process of identifying requirements, prioritise technology needs, and help the business develop comprehensive business cases for new initiatives Build relationships across service lines and jurisdictions to gain an in-depth knowledge of business processes and existing use of tech Help manage and enforce the operating framework for the BRM function and ensure adherence to this, evolving as the function matures Support and advise on the existing change management processes to ensure smooth implementation and transition of new technologies Identify and report on opportunities where existing tech can be better utilised to create better business outcomes, such as enhanced user experience, increased efficiency Participate actively in the Innovation Group to identify and develop opportunities for leveraging technology to drive business growth Become an internal expert on the latest legal tech offerings and how these might benefit Ogier On behalf of business functions, own significant IT related challenges, representing business stakeholders within IT forums, working across IT teams to successful resolve challenges Assist with the monitoring and reporting of the BRM function, recommending changes where necessary Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Several years of experience in relationship-focused roles within IT or technology-driven environments Proven ability to identify, champion, and deliver successful technology change initiatives across multiple business areas Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a proven ability to influence and advise senior management on technology-related matters Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential in order to translate complex technical information to a non-technical audience Experience managing conflicting requirements and achieving consensus among diverse stakeholders A broad understanding of the latest developments in technologies, and either experience or a strong desire to immerse in legal technology Solid understanding of business strategy in relation to technology deployment, with the ability to present technical opportunities in non-technical language and experience in the legal / financial sector The ability to empower others by collaborating on joint ideas and encourages others to view change as a positive process Strong client service mentality Key Competencies
