IT Desktop Support

The Zonal group are one of the UK\xe2\x80\x99s largest technology providers to the hospitality industry.

Our products are used by over 16,000 pubs, restaurants, and hotels. Customers include national brands like Pizza Express, Greene King and All Bar One.

We provide our customers with the solutions they need to make their business a success.

These solutions include mobile apps for ordering and web apps for engaging with consumers either through loyalty or reservations. By linking these solutions to Zonal\xe2\x80\x99s EPoS (till) system, we help hospitality brands to understand their customers\xe2\x80\x99 behaviour and preferences, enabling them to excel in an increasingly competitive market.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

The IT department provides a service to Zonal and its group of companies and we are based at our head office in Edinburgh. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll monitor, maintain and administer the User\xe2\x80\x99s desktop environment, as well as triage work for the network and system administrators.

Your Main Role Responsibilities

• Provide Desktop support, assisting users with IT issues where necessary.
• Build/Install user devices applying patching and installing relevant software.
• Supports and Maintain Hardware & Software.
• Perform Daily checks on systems and solutions.
• Working with and maintaining a Hybrid cloud Microsoft Active Directory domain environment.
• Document procedures
• Tests equipment identifies faults and where possible carries out repairs on site.
• Refers more complex faults back to the manufacturer for repair.
• Keep all software used legal, licensed, and recorded.
• Manage our IT asset management software.
• Writing up support documents providing users with self-help guidance.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience We Look For

• Demonstrable problem-solving skills
• Good Documenting ability
• A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including Maths and English at GCSE or A Level, or an equivalent level qualification such as a Level 2 apprenticeship.
• GCSEs in Science subjects desirable.
